It’s hard to fathom that 2017 is nearly drawing to a close! I’ve had a good year balancing work, family, leisure and everything in between.

Where to begin? There have been a few markets dropped and a few new ones added. I’m no longer at Gelorup Markets and the Stirling Street Art Centre Flea Market. I now prefer to spend my weekends at Vasse Markets (1st, 3rd, 5th Saturdays), Busselton Foreshore Markets (3rd, 5th Sundays), Dunsborough Central Markets (2nd Saturdays) and the Boyanup Farmers Market (4th Sundays). And of course there are the annual events that I wouldn’t miss – the Stirling Street Art Centre Christmas Fair (26th Nov) along with the Victoria Street Artisan Fayre (2nd Dec) and others that I get invited along to ( keep up to date with my homepage monthly market calendar).

I’ve been happy to cater to the personal needs of my customers in the form of custom made soap orders and skincare, eri silk garments and eco-dyed clothing. The satisfaction of getting to know my customers and to be able to cater to their requirements is part of the buzz that I get in running this small handmade business.

Being present online has meant that more people have been able to get to my wares. So part of my work now is also to make sure that my customers who are unable to make it to my stall at the markets get what they’re looking for. My local customers in Bunbury have also had the advantage of availing of free delivery, a service that I am glad to provide.

Capel Bakery and the Vasse General Store continue to stock some of my products and I am looking into adding more items due to enquiries and interest from clients.

Part of the pleasure that I get in running this business is the opportunity to add to my range of items. My current one is the eco-conscious clothing corner at my market stall of upcycled, naturally dyed garments in silk, linen, cotton and other plant/protein fibres. As a long time fan of India Flint and her approach to natural dyeing, I have the pleasure to put into practice her approach and techniques to recycled garments.

Inspiration comes to me from many quarters and especially from clients. So thank you for your input and support. I look forward to continuing to be of help to you as we venture into the new year.
