The term “Natural Home-Body” is how I see myself and my small business.  I’m pretty pleased that this simple phrase encapsulates what you need to know about me.

This is the reason I do love being home. I take joy in managing this small home, garden and family. My small business fits seamlessly in most parts to this lifestyle.

So as we near the end of the season of Autumn in the southern hemisphere, reaping the promises of  fresh growth, I choose to enjoy the cooler weather and start my winter veggie patch, indulge in more boro stitching, craft my winter wares, stock up on beeswax candles and other items that have had to wait for a while. Thanks for waiting with me!

Here are some current news pertaining to my business that may be relevant to some of you.

Some of you in Bunbury will now have figured out that the shop Victoria Street Collective is no longer operational. It was a great little space for me to showcase most of my naturally dyed and reworked garments. Thanks to Kerry who invited me to be part of the journey, I’ve been able to reach out to many more customers who may not have made it to the Bunbury Markets and Boyanup Farmers Market that I attend every month. If you are a local business owner interested in stocking some of my ecodyed garments, please get in touch with me.

One of my achievements this month was completing some beeswax wraps and bread bags. This was on my list of things to do for quite a while. The tub of pine rosin on the shelf was always a gentle reminder. Thanks to a customer at one of my markets who specifically asked for a bread bag for her sourdough loaf, I could procrastinate no longer. In the end, I loved working with the fabrics that I had stored up and the combination of the pure and natural ingredients. Seeing my indigo dyed linens turn a deeper blue as the wax mixture infused the cloth was a delight. I hope to continue making more of these special wraps now that I’ve got the hang of it.

So this is my snapshot for now. Business continues to steadily grow for me. Thanks for your support and for being part of this progress.
