I sometimes get asked this question by customers at markets. I am glad to announce that four south-west outlets, Capel Bakery, Vasse General Store, Harvey Visitor Centre and A Taste of Nannup stock some of my items as part of their drive to provide locally made products to their customers.
Capel Bakery is located in the town of Capel and is a warm and inviting place providing bread, cakes, biscuits and other goodies freshly baked at the premises. The friendly customer service provided by owner Vickie and daughter Rachel, makes any coffee, tea or lunch break for regulars, passers-by or visitors to the town, an added bonus.
To add to the homely and welcoming atmosphere, customers can also expect to find a space with local produce from growers around Capel and surrounding areas. This is where you may find free range organic eggs, seasonal veggies and fruits from Mostly Organics (Dave & Sue), jams & preserves by Pat, olive oil produced by Dominic & Sarina of Goccio D’oro as well as a select range of my natural olive oil soaps and skincare balms and special chilli condiments.
The iconic Vasse General Store is another place to check out, if you are on your way further down south towards Margaret River and surrounding areas. Owner Gloria has a local produce shelf providing goat’s milk soaps by Smudge Soap, soy candles made in Dunsborough by Kat and a selection of other quality items from the area. The store also stocks my natural olive oil soaps, skincare lotions and balms. In addition, it is a great place to fill up on fuel and I’ve found it a lot cheaper than other petrol stations around.
Harvey Visitor Centre just out of Harvey town is a lovely place for a stop-over as you drive through the scenic route. It is closely linked with May Gibbs creator of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie and features a special display on her work. There is a cosy restaurant to whet a travellers appetite and the gardens around centre is indeed a welcome respite. In this setting, you’ll find a number of local makers showcasing their items around the shelves of the refurbished centre. I am pleased to offer a selection of my skincare balms, oils, pure beeswax candles and eco-dyed silk scarves and shawls through this special outlet.
So if you are ever in the area, make it a point to check out these shops!
